Harmonize the Nursery For a Song

I think a lot of people don’t buy original art for their kids’ rooms because they’re under the impression that it’s too expensive. Well, sometimes it is. Sometimes it’s ridiculous. But that’s not the case with Bay Area kids artist Trieste Parise‘s work.
Trieste’s mixed-media canvases covers classic themes like animals, robots, or a rocket zipping around the solar system at beyond reasonable prices–from $5 for a mini octopus or blowfish (shown here) to $175 for her terrific 22×28 alphabet paintings. The pieces themselves are accessible too, made specifically with non-toxic paint and finished with acrylic so that they can be hung at eye level and explored with little hands then wiped clean without doing much damage.
But maybe what I love best is that her love for her work shows right through. Isn’t that just what you want surrounding your children? –Liz
Congrats to Caroline M, winner of her own Trieste Parise original painting.
