When my son started Kindergarten last year, I never realized how confusing the snack/lunch situation can be. As opposed to preschool, my son had to navigate his food choices on their own. I found he was devouring his sandwich at snack instead of lunch, and that some classmates were skipping lunch altogether.

Fear not! We found a simple note/sticker combo that can help out.

We love us some lunch notes
around here. But these Mini Lunch Notes
that I just found for my own kids,  definitely
take it up a notch–not only can you scribble your own happy face or
words of motherly love, but super cute graphics on the stickers by
Peagreen will tell your child “eat this
first.” Pack it right in with the sandwich if you’ve got a kid prone to
skipping to snack; or use it to help a new kindergartener figure out the
routine.

Besides, that panda is awesome. –Eva

Mini Lunch notes are available at your favorite independent bookstore, our affiliate Amazon and at Chronicle.com
