I like Star Wars as much as the next mom. Okay, so maybe I like it a little more than the next mom, considering I can speak a little Huttese. I love that the Star Wars world is timeless, exciting, iconic, and fun, and I really love sharing it with my children. But I’m the first to admit that I’ve never thought of my favorite movie franchise as stylish or chic.
But guess what? Now it kind of is.
We’re Stormtrooper helmet over heels for this gorgeous trio of Star Wars posters from the handz shop on Etsy. All designs are signed by Czech artist Jan Skácelík and are also available in custom colors and sizes. But I think the standard colors are perfect: gold for A New Hope and Luke’s humble beginning on Tattooine, light blue for the ice planet Hoth of The Empire Strikes Back, and lime green for Yoda and Jabba in Return of the Jedi.
(I told you I was into Star Wars.)
All of the characters, silhouettes, and words are like the artist jumped right inside my memory and snatched the most memorable scenes from each movie. The very fact that Admiral Ackbar’s “It’s a trap!” is on the Jedi poster makes my Ewok-loving heart melt. And the style? Striking, with appeal for kids and adults alike.
How fabulous would these retro-Scandinavian designs look in a geeky baby nursery next to a solar system mobile and an Ikea
crib?
Find all three Star Wars posters at the handz shop on Etsy for $19 each. International shipping is reasonable at $5.90 for the first item and $1 for each addition. If you’re not into Star Wars but love the style, Jan Skácelík also makes posters featuring cameras, tea, mustaches, famous movies, and charming quotes.
True story: This poster is on my bedroom wall. My son wants it to match his room. The designer will do them in different colors.
Thanks- went shopping. Got the “may the force be with you” eye chart but I like the posters above for my nephew, so I will probably be back. Thanks for the share.
I would love these for my room -> not too sure how my husband would feel!
