Clek leather booster seatOne of the biggest complaints we hear about kids car seats and boosters is how ugly they are. Yes, I know safety is the biggest priority, but once we check that off the list, I would prefer not to have a ginormous thing squarely in my rear view that’s covered in neon zoo animals.

Well yay for Clek which is upping the style quotient in the booster department with a limited edition offering that sure is swanky.

The Oobr Booster, reviewed here last year, is practical as it is safe, made with an amazing range of safety features, a comfy recline, and a removable back for when your kid is ready for a backless booster. And now it comes in a gorgeous, limited edition (only 250!) leather seat called Saddle, made from a sleek auto-grade leather. In other words, those drink box fills and drive-thru mishaps will be no match for your booster for years to come. Good thing, considering kids are now supposed to remain in car boosters until they’re 47.

Of course if you’re in super hot climates, you still might prefer the cloth versions; I haven’t been able to check the Saddle out for myself to see how comfy it feels. And of course, not every parent will want to pay $499 for a booster seat–which is probably why it was launched in a limited edition of 250. Still, it does look fab. Really fab. Sigh. –Liz

You can find the limited edition Oobr Saddle booster seat in top-grain leather through the Clek website, at select Clek boutiques, or preorder from select retailers near you including Magic Beans in Boston, Genius Jones in Miami, and Posh Baby in Portland.
