We here at Cool Mom Picks have been fans of Chobani Champions, the brandโs line of Greek yogurts made especially for kids, since day one, when they launched with four tasty flavors packed in perfectly kid-sized cups. Thanks to their new line, we now have one more reasonโand four more flavorsโto love this snack made especially for kids.
Chobani Tubes are the new on-the-go squeeze tube yogurt snacks made by the Greek yogurt maker. I must admit: squeeze tube yogurts are not normally my thing, but I decided to give these a try since they are made with โonly natural ingredients.โ Turns out, itโs even better than that.
Before I handed these to my kids, who couldnโt believe that they might finally get their hands on yogurt in a tube, I did a little research and found that these snacks come by their bright colors naturally. That may seem small, but itโs a big plus for me, compared with most yogurt tubes which are colored with artificial food dyes.
Checking labels on the shelf, I also found that Champion Tubes have 8 grams of sugar and 5 grams of protein; the other natural brands have a little more sugar, with 9-10 grams per serving, but fell way short on protein with about only 2 grams of protein. Itโs a Greek yogurt thing, I guess. And a good one.
Now the down side is that, like all of the other refrigerated yogurt tube snacks that I found, these have fillers not found in my favorite option, plain Greek yogurt. They are natural, but fillers nonetheless. Itโs worth noting however that Chobani Tubes have fewer fillers than the rest, so thereโs that.
At the end of the day, I still mostly feed my kids plain yogurt, but Iโve got to admit that these are the best of the tubular bunch and make a super fun lunchbox surprise. And itโs going to be hard to resist freezing these when the weather gets warmer. I may even sneak a squeezie yogurt pop myself. โStacie
