From the day we discovered Kirsten Hathcock’s beautifully handmade storage pieces at Mod Mom Furniture, we fell in love. A Mod Mom toy box looks as beautiful as any other furniture in the house, even if it is made to hide decapitated Barbies and wayward LEGO pieces. And now, there are not only some gorgeous new styles, but some of the classics are on sale at great prices.
Check out the toy box sample sale and while supplies last, you can score some great deals on the Gracie toy box–of which Kristen and I each own one–along with the owl toy box and birdie toy box which are each about the cutest things ever. Plus I’m a big fan of the hinges she uses on all the boxes, which won’t snap on little hands. (She’s a mom too, she gets it.)

Keep in mind this is real furniture, all handmade by Amish artisans from eco-friendly woods and finishes, so it’s not cheap. But it will last. Probably longer than any of the toys it holds. Furbee, anyone? –Liz
