Trying to find cool bathing suits for boys that are actually comfortable is no easy task. My son lasts a few hours at most before he starts to get a little “itchy,” particularly at the beach. Let’s just say that sand is not a bottom’s friend. That’s why I’m loving the bathing suits for boys from Coastal Dog which have compression shorts built right in–and an amazing charitable mission too.

(Update 8/17: Sadly, the store seems to have gone out of business so sad. If you love drawstring swimwear for boys, check Hanna Andersson which always does right by us!)

Cool bathing suits for boys: Coastal Dog trunks designed not to chafe

Imagined and designed by mom Stephanie Magee and made in the USA, Coastal Dog’s bathing suits feature a comfy inner compression short (i.e. no mesh underwear thingy) coupled with a light, sturdy outer swim trunk in bold colors or a new Hibiscus print. The sand stays out and the shorts dry fast. Plus the drawstring means they actually stay up which–yeah. That’s a plus.

If the bathing suits themselves weren’t cool enough, Coastal Dog donates 100% of their profits to charity (yes 100%!), specifically Horizons for Homeless Children, which helps homeless kids receive early education and other support services. So suit your boys up comfortably for summer and help kids in need.

Unfortunately for you toddler moms, you’ll have  to wait; these suits are just made for big boys and men right now.

You can purchase the non–chafing bathing suits for boys (and men too) at Coastal Dog Apparel with 100% of profits donated to support homeless children.
