One of the biggest (and best) trends we’ve noticed over the last few years are the fun homages to your home state or favorite city. So these modern city map posters by artist Sarah Lund are a perfectly subtle way to go graphic without overwhelming your walls.
With a springtime color palate–don’t you love these tomato reds and melon-y oranges and sage greens?–I could see them working anywhere in a house, from your kitchen to a home office or even a modern baby’s nursery. If you call either Chicago, NYC, San Francisco or Seattle home, they’re perfect. But if these destinations have any kind of special meaning for you, I love the idea of incorporating references to places around the world that you want to take your kid, right into their room decor.
Or uh, maybe they were conceived on a trip to one of these cities?

Personally I have all four of these maps on my own top cities list. That said, my fingers are crossed that a Nashville poster is coming up next.
