As the massive rescue and recovery efforts are underway to assist those affected by the devastating Nepal Earthquake, we are all feeling like we want to help in some way, even though we feel so far away. Fortunately, there are lots of ways you can help the many NGOs and charities that are sending teams over.

If you’re looking to contribute, we rounded up some organizations that could certainly use your support right now.

– Over at CNN, there’s a helpful list of charities supporting Nepal Earthquake relief, including the Nepal Red Cross Society, Global Giving, and UNICEF, just to name a few. They are all accepting online donations, though note that some sites are running slowly so be patient and persistent.

Doctors Without Borders is sending out four teams Sunday to provide medical aid where it is needed most.

– Mashable has rounded up organizations that have a known presence in Nepal, including Oxfam and Care.org.

– While Heifer International is not a relief organization, they do supplement relief organizations’ support to help their farmers recover, which is how your donation will be used.

And if you’re wondering about the status of friends and loved ones in Nepal, Facebook Safety Check and Google Person Finder, are terrific online resources to help assist in that process.

Our thanks to these awesome organizations that are doing what they can to help. And our thoughts and love go out to  the people of Nepal, their families, and anyone affected by this tragedy.
