If you had told me, way back when, that one of my favorite tracks off Licensed to Ill would end up being the anthem of new parenthood — and not of rockin’ this party eight days a week — I’d never have believed you. And yet there I was years later, cradling a non-sleeping newborn oh, about a zillion times, with the lyrics to No Sleep to Til Brooklyn running through my head on a loop.

Whether you’re in the 718 like me or just a Beastie Boys fan, I think you’ll smile at the No Sleep Til Brooklyn art print at Brooklyn Makers.  Created by Annica Lydenberg from Fort Green design shop Dirty Bandits, I think it would be just perfect as a rock ‘n roll mama’s shower gift for that new baby’s room.

The hand-lettered typography is really lovely which is important, considering how much you’ll be staring at it, should it be positioned anywhere within view of a glider chair.

Find the the limited edition No Sleep Til Brooklyn art print by Dirty Bandits at Brooklyn Makers. You supply the frame.
