American Apparel is closing, but this last sale rocks.

Bad news, cool kids: American Apparel is closing their factories and basically being cannibalized and moving to Canada. So much for “designed, cut, and sewn in Los Angeles.” Yes, the company has their share of controversies, but they always did make solid basics we loved for our kids. So sad.

The silver lining in all this is a 40% off sale that can help you grab some great basics for women, men and kids. But you’ve got to hurry!

I poked around the site to see what’s what.

For women, you’ll want to check out the ongoing sale on tees, leggings, dresses, and more. Or, if you’re really on fleek (can I still say that?), they’ve got crop tops, bodysuits, and miniskirts depending on your size.

(Note: I am not on fleek. Bring on the tunics!)

It happens to be a little tricky to find kids’ stuff, so I tracked down the direct link to the American Apparel kids’ sale page for you, where you’ll find great deals on basics, including tees, tanks, and leggings.

Just keep in mind that their clothes are more fitted and great for slender kids, so you might want to go up a size — a size 8 is usually perfect for most 6-year-olds, and so on.

Visit American Apparel while you can for big savings until it’s all gone. Use code TAKE40 for another 40% off everything. And shipping is free on orders over $50.
