A rocking horse is one of the essential staples of the traditional American nursery. But what if you don’t have the traditional American nursery? If you’ve taken the time to pick out the perfect Oeuf dresser and Svan table and chairs, those little ponies with the synthetic manes just may not cut it in the junior bedroom.
The Keith Haring rocker from Vilac at Zac and Zoe is easily the coolest one I have ever come across. Children of the 80’s will love the homage to the late, great pop artist. Children of the ’00s, will just think it’s fun.
Haring is the artist whose sensibility is absolutely suited to kids gear without making you looking pretentious. Call me crazy, but I just don’t see Picasso’s Guernica hitting nurseries any time soon. –Liz
