When our daughter was born, I did what so many mamas do: I started a baby book. I wanted to capture everything about her, along with the wonderment of being a new mom; I’d lost my own mother to cancer a year earlier, to the date, and I thought writing about motherhood would somehow connect grandmother, mom, and baby. At least I hoped so.
Inspiring? Not so much. That’s why I’m happy to have found a truly beautiful way to capture these experiences–and make some discoveries about myself along the way.
by Tania Elfersy and Andrea Katzman is a gorgeously illustrated book
that’s filled with thoughtful quotes, stories, and poems from other mamas –with plenty of space for you to write about your own
often-complicated, always-amazing journey through motherhood. The other
mothers’ words are beautiful, heartfelt prompts, inspiring you to
actually want to sit down and write at the end of a long day. I’d be lying if I said their words didn’t make me tear up at least a few times.
book also contains a toolkit filled with sweet surprises: a booklet
with recipes for facials and smoothies, a sheet of rice paper, pretty
shapes to cut out and turn into a mobile.
a calming, inspiring way to help capture memories–while rediscovering
yourself. It’s helped me reconnect to who I am as a person and as a mom. And I just know my own mom would approve. -Lexi

This new book has become the one gift I bring to all my friends becoming mother. It is one of those few gifts especially conceived for mothers that will be cherished forever! I love its graphics, colors, and real stories (and the few new moms around me too!)
