Bombas Socks Invisibles review: We bought them, and here's what we thought!

With summer slip-on shoe season finally here, it’s also officially stinky feet season, which is why I’ve been on the hunt for peds that don’t suck. You know, those no-show socks that keep your feet dry while you wear your favorite TOMS, Chuck Taylors, Vans (or if you’re like Liz, Superga sneakers). Well, since trying Bombas socks, I’m a happy girl and my feet are too.

I actually purchased Bombas socks through a Facebook ad (yes apparently, they do work!) and I’m so glad I did. Their no-show socks or “Invisibles” as they call them, are my new favorite thing ever. The cotton is super comfortable, but thick enough that you feel like you’re wearing a sock (which I like), and I love the heel grips which keep them from sliding down. I also like that you can easily adjust the foot coverage on the top depending on what shoes you are wearing.

And what’s awesome is that the company donates one pair of socks to a homeless shelter for every pair you purchase. So, so cool.

My only complaint is that they’ve got “Bombas” across the top, which I guess isn’t such a big deal since you shouldn’t be seeing it anyway. But you know, what about on the bottom or something?

They definitely cost more than the pairs of peds you might snatch up at your local retailer, so keep that in mind when you shop around their site. But so far, they’ve stayed on and stayed hidden, plus washed super well, so I’m very happy I spent the money. And will be buying more. Like, yesterday.

    the bombas logo is obnoxious. i hate logos to begin with. do we have to be reminded every second of what brand socks we are wearing? if the product is good, it will sell itself. they could brand it inside or yes, even on the sole of the foot.

    We’re not usually fans of logos on clothes (if you are a reader of our site) but these were a big hit. On the bright side, maybe it draws attention from the potbelly? -Eds

      Still not buying them….Logos are a big no-no in our home. I have 6 kids, and 3 grand kids, and you can keep anything that has logos on it.

        I have always hated logos too, especially names on the outside of garments (They should pay ME to advertise their clothing) until I saw a program on why it is done so much; It makes it harder for cheap knock off products to be sold as if they are the real thing. People think they are getting a quality product only to find out they have a cheap imitation. It is a big problem, and many products besides fashion items are being copied and sold as the real thing.

          I agree! If I want to keep buying these I will cut the Logo out. I cut any logo off my jeans, shorts, blouses, etc.

          No store is getting free advertisement from me.

        Same for my house. My mom wouldn’t buy anything with a logo on it. I find out that we still don’t do so today.

        I’m with ya! I’ve literally never heard of people hating so hard on logo/branded clothing. I just wouldn’t purchase an item if I felt the logo was too large/visible, but never knew people were adamantly against them all together….to be fair though, I work in marketing and branding is tremendously important for brand recognition, etc.

    Personally I don’t care if the brand name is not lg. and in your face. To me it just shows that they are confident in their product and hope that you are too! If you share a household, the brand could help if your roommates don’t use the same brand.

    Yeah…the logo is a deal breaker even if the socks are nice. If they ever come out with a no-logo pair, I’ll buy. Until then, I’ll do without…and wear my el cheapos which can be easily replaced as they are so cheap.

    That’s always an option. But if you want an alternative to creating more waste and spending more money over time, you might take another look. We hate logos too as we’ve said a zillion times, but you don’t see them here under your shoes. -eds

    Just a VERY SMALL logo over to the side would serve its purpose, would not annoy people and might even be a little classy. Big logos are for Disney, kids and big bags of dog food.

      bologna. LMAO they did not unravel the first time you wore them. I own lots of these socks and I can’t even imagine how that is possible. They are a good company, you should have told them, they would made it right (if I even believed your fabrication)

    The socks are so high in front. How can they possibly be no show with most shoes? How about ballet flats? They could put the logo over the whole sock if there were truly a no show sock with lower shoes. These are meant for gym shoes.

      The socks are made in Taiwan and China through fair labor factories. The 2 million socks they’ve donated so far have all gone to families in the US in need through 300+ charity partners. Those people in need are not likely in Silicon Valley.

    Have you tried Darn Tough socks? They don’t make peds but for the other three seasons of the year they’re my go to. They’re made in VT, use ethically sourced wool and last FOREVER (and if they don’t they have a lifetime guarantee). They’re not sweaty (all my running socks are wool now) and the quality and designs are amazing. Next time you’re looking for socks check them out!

    The socks are very comfortable – I got the Merino wool ones. However I’ve had issues with the bottoms wearing thin after just a few months. The company was great at replacing them after just sending photos but the replacements wore out the same way. I would buy more for the comfort but the price/longevity combo are deal breakers for me sadly

      That’s so interesting, I got the thinner nylon blend ones and I love them! They are not wearing thin at all and holding up after lots of washes. My partner has the merino ones since last year and they’re also fine so far, so I’m wondering how long you’ve had them before they wore out? Or whether they are better off not being washed on super hot? I love them so much I want to be sure to have them forever so if you have any input I’d appreciate it!
