When we enter this insane world of parenting, we become masters of multitasking. Personally, I’ll do anything to get more out of the limited hours in the day, so of course I’m drawn to books like The Experts’ Guide to Doing things Faster: 100 Ways to Make Life More Efficient in part because I can read the bite-size, magazine-y chapters while doing other things.

The next in the excellent Experts’ Guide series by Samantha Etttus, quick chapters from interesting experts and A-listers range from how to make your computer run faster (thanks Geek squad) to how to stock your bar. (Thanks, Rande Gerber. And by the way you were really cute when I met you like a zillion years ago in LA.) Stacy London chimes in on how to choose an outfit, and an FBI expert instructs you on finding a child in a crowd. Even Kate Gosselin found time to contribute a piece on tackling your to-do list. Not every chapter is about doing things quickly, but presumably doing them a little better will save you time in the end.

Samantha, if you want a chapter on blogging while pumping for the sequel, just say the word. I’d be happy to help out.  – Liz
