When I had my daughter–after already having a son–I am a tiny bit ashamed to admit that I became a pretty easy sell with special “girlie” things like dresses and hair clips.

Girlie, but not too girlie, you know? So these new baby dresses are the exact kind of beautiful item I would have been only too happy to invest in.

Notice I said invest. The dresses from Mama Moderne
aren’t inexpensive–more like a dress you might get for a first
birthday. But the price comes because they’re handmade. And organic. And
adorable.

While all the patterns are sweet, I have to say, I’m most in love with the Carolina Dresses with the sweet vintage-looking whale print and the cool Vespa-type scooter print (shown). The only problem for me is that the dresses stop at age 18 months. Guess I just need to have another baby girl.

Um, please don’t tell my husband I said that. -Stephanie P.

  1. I love the “girly” dresses. The white with pink and green scooter print dress would look adorable on my niece!

  2. Stephanie, thank you so much for the feature! We are getting ready to launch our Fall line in August, and due to popular demand, we will be extending the sizes to toddlers as well. Can’t wait to share the new pieces, which we’re sure you’ll love!
