We found (and squealed about) the delicious, inventive cards and invitations from Bird and Banner years ago, but it’s been a while since I stopped by to see what’s new.
Let’s just say the selection hasn’t quite made me want to have another baby just for the shower invitations, but if I were to be asked to pick them out for you, I would jump at the chance.
While Erin and Nicole made a name for themselves working with fabrics (check out the imaginative wedding invitations for Grace Bonney of design*sponge, printed on vintage handkerchiefs!) I love seeing what they’re doing now with paper. This hand-drawn baby shower invitation
definitely caught my eye–what a fabulous change from the same ducks
and storks you see everywhere. It reminds me of a Woodstock-era rock
poster.
For something a little more classic but still original, this family tree announcement is ready for displaying with an actual frame, not a refrigerator magnet.
These are not cheap cards; everything is custom made and lovingly executed by
hand. But wow, what a way to welcome a baby into the world. –Liz
