We’ve seen a ton of heart jewelry leading up to Valentine’s Day, but the one that’s stolen my heart isn’t flashy, blingy, or loaded with diamonds. In fact, it isn’t even shiny.

I discovered designer Andrea Panico’s Pico Designs at the gift show this week and fell in love with her modern, architecturally-inspired handmade jewelry–but perhaps none more than this laser-cut wooden heart necklace.

Made out of cherry wood and dangling from a gold-fill chain, it hangs just below the collarbone.  I think it will look cool even when the paper valentines are long tucked away in a shoebox.
