When I had my first daughter almost eight years ago, I decided that my gift to each of my children would be to start a collection of some kind. And so, whenever I’m at an antique show or making my weekly Etsy rounds, I look for the perfect items to add to their collections– from old vintage pretzel tins from the Quinlan company (my daughter’s first name) to vintage Fisher Price fire truck toys for my son.
So of course I was instantly drawn to the well-curated Wary Meyers Kids Shop, which is chock full of some of the most amazing vintage ephemera, clothes, and toys for kids I’ve ever seen.
Just one flip through Wary Meyers Kids Shop is like a walk down memory lane, from the super cool
Big Bird with the Orchestra poster (pictured) to the awesome 1980’s Gerber sneakers and loads of cool toys. Whether you’re a collector like me or are just looking for a super cool, unique gift, you’ll want to be sure to take a peek–though keep in mind, most items are one-of-a-kind so once someone snatches them up, they’ll be gone for good. Including that awesome poster.
I’d be remiss not to mention the quirky
handmade kids jeans by co-owner Linda Meyers. While they’re definitely a splurge, they’re unlike anything I’ve seen. At least in the last 20 years.
