I have always loved the bright, bold patterns from the iconic Finnish design house Marimekko, and now I can refresh our summer wardrobes with some of their famously fun outfits without running up my credit card (well, too high) as Marimekko becomes Target’s newest designer collaboration.
The collection has a whopping 200+ pieces including kids and women’s clothing, home decor and even a bocce ball set. Because if you’re going to play bocce, you might as well do it with Scandinavian style.

Marimekko for Target clothing is definitely geared toward beach and resort styles, with lots of swimwear, coverups, and even swim, uh, leggings, which we superfans can forgive. The styles for girls are insanely cute, and if you favor color and patterns, you’ll love the women’s looks too. And hats off to Marimekko and Target, we’re pleased to see they’ve included plus sizes in this partnership.
Aside from the beachwear, I’m hoping to snag some of their modern home decor pieces, so that I can bring some style to my all-purpose white dishes for summer dinner parties.
And I’m dying over the adult bike — not to mention the hammocks, kites, and oversized beach towels that are getting me so ready for afternoons by the pool.
If past Target collaborations are any indication, Marimekko for Target could sell out online in minutes. So I’d suggest you start your browsing now, then plan to be online first thing on April 17, armed (with your computer or tablet) and ready.
Marimekko for Target will be available starting April 17, with prices ranging from $8 for sunscreen to $500 for an amazing paddle board. Can’t vouch for the quality of the sunscreen.
