I’m all about finding versatile spring dresses for my girls, even when it comes to Easter dresses. Spending a ton of money on frilly, crinoline-lined dresses for Easter when my girls are unlikely to ever wear them again isn’t really my thing. (Mama would much rather spend that money on new shoes for herself. Just sayin’.)
If you’re like me, check out these cute and versatile spring dresses for girls that you can dress up for Easter — or dress down for the rest of the spring and summer too.
All of them are pretty enough to wear to Church or your Easter celebration, then later, to brunch with the grandparents, a friend’s birthday party, or even to the playground with a pair of rugged, rubber-soled sandals or a funky pair of high-tops..
And yes, you can wash them all!

I love floral for Easter, but this peach floral dress from Tea Collection is so fresh and modern with the fruit subtly incorporated into the design. And Tea just lasts forever, through many, many kids. Ask us how we know!
Dress it up or down: You can dress up this versatile dress for girls with a cute teal girls’ sweater plus slightly dressier sandals, but it would be just as cute with a pair of purple or orange sneakers, and a denim jacket for a (little) girls’ night out.
The cute bunnies around the bottom of this twirly girls’ Easter dress is picture-perfect for your Easter Sunday Instagram snaps, but the super-comfortable 100% cotton top and lining guarantee my daughter will want to wear it all summer long. Because bunnies are really not just for Easter, if you have an animal-loving little one.
Dress it up or down: I’d add a white cardigan and ballet flats for fancier occasions, but white flip flops or slip-on sneakers like Vans and a ponytail make this dress perfect for playdates, too.
My tween daughter doesn’t want to look like a little girl anymore, so this floral cold-shoulder girls’ floral dress from The Gap would be a perfect fit for her. And since she still wants to run around and goof off with friends after church, this swing style gives her plenty of room to move.
Dress it up or down: I love that this style can be made fancier with a bolero style sweater and pale blue spring shoes; or you can wear it like a over leggings complete with Converse sneakers to dress it down after Easter.
This coral ruffle hem girls’ dress at J Crew is kind of a perfect blank canvas — the definition of a versatile spring dresses for girls. With right accessories, your kid could really express her own style in so many ways using this as the anchor.
Dress it up or down: I could see my daughter going with gladiator sandals and herdd denim jacket covered with some enamel pins to make it funkier and more everyday-weekend friendly. But as an Easter dress for girls, you could lean on those ruffles and go really sweet with an embroidered sweater (I’m kind of loving this Sarah Jessica Parker floral embroidered cardi – have you seen that collab yet?) and some classic white or gold Salt Water sandals.
Would you believe this cute floral girls’ spring dress from H&M is under $5? Wowza. It runs up to sizes 18mo t 8-10Y though H&M often runs big if you’ve tweens who’d love the print.
Dress it up or down: Let your daughter wear it brand-new with her cutest sweater and a new headband for Easter Sunday, then let them do whatever the heck they want to in it after that — sliding down the playground slide, digging in the sandbox, you name it. Because, $5 you guys. I could even see it getting heavy use as a cute pool coverup for summer, and as a tunic over leggings when she starts to grow. Now that’s a versatile girls’ dress!
