I’ve done some browsing to find some of the best printable academic calendars, or as you may call them, school year calendars. You know — the ones that start in August or September, when the school year does, and go on through next summer. Because we’re already booking our activities way out and marking down those spring holidays. Which means a calendar that ends in December just won’t cut it for me.
With the new school year just getting started (or, already a month in for those of us down South!) it might be time to refresh your calendar. Personally, I love a great printable calendar because I can print multiple copies, and customize them for each family member’s tasks and activities.

I like this printable academic year student binder at Just a Girl and Her Blog (also at very top) because it’s simple, without being over-embellished, but still has the bright, fun vibe my tween daughter wants in her own academic planner. It offers pages for class schedules, personal goals, weekly and daily views, as well as the monthly pages you see here. Really, it’s everything you could want or need to get your kid organized for the beginning of the school year.
I love the simplicity of these printable academic calendar pages at Scattered Printables. There’s plenty of open space on each day for me to fill in our activities, a meal plan, or whatever else you want to jot down. And you can even do some habit tracking or other bullet-journaling in the space at the bottom of the page. Here’s to a better you in the new (school) year!
This huge printable Illustrated monthly academic calendar at Not Only Polka Dots is perfect for the kitchen or home office. I just love how colorful and happy the design is. The pages starts in September and goes until the school year ends. (Because I know some of you are already thinking about Spring Break plans.)
This chic printable academic year-at-a-glance calendar at Emma Loves Prints gives you a small amount of space to focus on the big events happening each month. It’s perfect for a quick-glance style calendar in the kitchen to give you a general reminder of birthdays, school holidays, tax due dates, organizational goals, or family trips, all without getting bogged down in the details of “practice at 3:45” each Thursday.
This linear style printable academic year wall planner from Sam Osborne is so different from most of the printable academic calendars out there, but I love how much info is packed into a small, gorgeously illustrated space. You can block out weeks of time for winter break, spring break, and so on. But there’s still daily squares for noting birthdays and other important events. It’s the happy medium I’ve been looking for!
