When I first heard about the Pantone color of the year being coral, I was uh…not thrilled. Unlike Caroline who can totally wear coral and look gorgeous, I’m a winter (remember that?) and orangey-pinky-brown colors are not generally the best for me.
That said, coral is a fun, pop-y color that has just a bit of Miami Beach circa 1950 to pique my mid-century loving self, and it certainly brightens up the rest of winter while transitioning beautifully to spring and summer. So check out these fun, on-trend coral earrings, which are a great way to get in on 2019’s hot color without spending a fortune or changing up your entire wardrobe.

These hoops are like the perfect everyday earring — lightweight, easy, with just a pop of color and a dash of sparkle. So great. ($68, Nordstrom)
Wrapped and woven earrings that blend fibers and structure are still in, and so are hoops. So I love the way both trends come together here. Or really, three trends if you consider the perfect Pantone Coral color. ($38, BaubleBar)
I should probably own stock in Alexis Bittar earrings. They’re well-made, have that retro-stylish look that never goes out of style, and they always generate compliments, no matter how long I’ve been wearing them. These coral hoop earrings in his trademark lucite may be a new wishlist item for me. Ooh. ($145, Alexis Bittar)
If you prefer deco styling to mid-century, I’ve got one more fab Alexis Bittar pick for you: these gorgeous, simple drop earrings that also work for every day. I own a similar pair in both silver/gray and gold in a teardrop style (currently sold out in coral, of course) and love this style as an alternative. ($135, Alexis Bittar)
Just a little boho chic. I like them for now but I bet I’ll really like them for spring. ($44, BaubleBar)
Oh my gosh, I am totally gaga for these drop earrings featuring clusters of cascading crystals. (That alliteration totally wasn’t intentional, by the way). Don’t save them just for special occasions — they’d look awesome with jeans. The color looks a wee bit brighter in the photo than the Pantone Coral color so it might be cheating, just a bit, but so what. ($58, Nordstrom)
