Last week, Elle magazine reported that the hottest accessory new stealing the show at NY Fashion week was barrettesโฆfor adults. And despite some of the totally bizarre fashion trends weโve seen lately, this is one we can totally get behind. Because, anyone can pull these looks off.

This simple Atelier barrette by L. Erickson is the minimalist statement piece you need in your jewelry box. You can dress it up or down, and it will go with pretty much anything in your closet. They have a few colors, so pick the one that works best with your wardrobe.

This trendy Balboa barrette set at Urban Outfitters is a great value, which will come in handy when your teens try to steal these from you.

I think this iridescent bow barrette by Cara is a fun accent to jeans and a black jacket for a girls night outโฆor a mother-daughter trip to the nail salon. It just makes me smile.
