Today, Clarks Kids announced the launch of their new National Geographic collaboration. I’m so taken with this collection of gorgeous, eco-friendly sneakers, inspired by so many of the planet’s incredible species, all just in time for Earth Day this Monday.
I imagine our earth-loving kids are also going to be excited by the concept, the design…everything..

While the sneakers honor several animals with cool designs, I particularly love that they honor the planet itself, by incorporating poly-canvas uppers made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, recycled insoles, and even 90% recycled paper packaging.

The entire Clarks Kids x Nat Geo collection includes both high-tops and low tops for toddlers to tweens. Inspiration comes from the likes of African Leopards, Harlequin Filefish, and the Male Golden Pheasant — which may not be your kid’s very favorite animal, but happens to result in a very cool shoe design.
Plus, each purchase comes with a free 6-month subscription to National Geographic Kids.
I’d say, grab your child, open the website, and take a look at National Geographic Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore’s stunning photos of each species. Maybe you can even encourage your child to design their own pair of sneakers based on a favorite animal they love.
What a cool way to get your kids excited to learn more about the incredible denizens of this big floating space rock we call Earth.
Just note that unfortunately, that amazing green and blue chameleon style won’t be available in the US. Um, Clark’s? Can I put in a vote to bring them over? Not the actual chameleon — just the shoes are fine.
Find all the new Clarks Kids x National Geographic sneakers for kids on their website or at select Clark’s stores. For a limited time, all the canvas shoes for kids are 20% off when you buy any other kids’ shoes.
And yes, it may feel like sneaker month around here right now — between the new Vans kids collab, the Bowie sneakers, the resurgence of Stan Smiths, and the outrageous POP light-up sneakers, and now these wonderful Clarks Kids sneaks, I feel like our kids’ shoe closets are going to be jam-packed!
