It generally doesn’t matter to me that a bunch of celebrities use a particular hair care product on their babies. But it did make me wonder what was so special about Jenerations Baby that Hollywood moms seem to be flocking to it.

Jenerations Baby was founded by Jennifer Reilly, a mom with two kids and fourteen years of experience as a hairstylist. She wanted natural products she could feel safe using on her kids, so she designed the hypoallergenic line without sulfates, parabens, harsh chemicals, or essential oils that are potentially estrogen disruptors.

Well, now I see what all those famous moms are seeing.

The Jenerations Baby shampoo and conditioner are officially my new go-to hair duo for bathtime, thanks to just enough conditioning and a pleasant, flowery smell. It wasn’t enough to handle my own long hair, but it’s perfect for my kids this winter.

But the star of the line, for me, is the baby hair gel. I love to see my little dude’s hair spiked, but I’ve never been able to find a baby-safe hair gel that worked and didn’t reek of plastic. Now, every morning, my son brings me the bottle and says, “You give me
spikies?” And I oblige. It doesn’t last forever, of course– but it’s enough to satisfy us both, and I don’t even have to wash my hands
afterwards.
