With warmer temperatures finally here, I can toss my beloved black bag to the back of my closet and brighten up my wardrobe with bolder, more colorful bags for spring. So pull out those flip flops and take a peek at my ten personal favorite bags in every price range. Good luck picking just one. Or, you know…don’t.
I’ve been filled with accessory envy ever since I saw our Editor Liz sporting this Rebecca Minkoff mab tote in black . However this bright aqua is so perfect for spring and summer. It fits a laptop, too, in case you were wondering and is a genius size for traveling–roomy and structured but not heavy at all like most leather totes.
One of my favorite black bags I have stashed in my closet happens to be this MZ Wallace Hayley nylon bag. I’m tempted to grab it in this rich, bold orange since I love the shape of the bag so much. The emerald green is pretty amazing too.
If you can’t pick just one bold color, the new Coach colorblock bags let you go with at least two or three including this one with pretty blue accents. I love that while they’re super on-trend, the style is such a classic that you will be able to use this bag for so many seasons to come.
I’m seeing bucket bags everywhere this season, like this Rebecca Minkoff mini Harley bucket bag. While they’re a bit on the small side for me to use every day (I carry a whole lot of stuff), it’s a great option for kicking around on a more casual date night or on the weekend if you’re down a couple of kids. Or even for those of you who tote separate diaper bags for all The Stuff and just want a pretty designer handbag that never sees a sippy cup ever.
I’m not really a purple person, but hey, this Isabella Tote from Annabel Ingall is actually lilac and pretty spot-on for the Pantone color of the year. That’s two good reasons to snatch it up, along with the fact that it’s got plenty of room for everything I tend to carry and then some.
For something on the smaller side, this Topshop turlock faux leather satchel gets a little extra flair with a lovely rose gold detail. And the great price doesn’t hurt.
You all loved the Brit-Stitch satchel bags as much as we did when we featured them recently. Choose from an array of bright colors or customize your own. What a fun treat — for Mother’s Day perhaps?
For a subtle splash of color, the bold teal popping out from behind the metallic on this Wanderlust mini shopper by Botkier screams boho to me in a fun, summery way. This tote could double as a nice bag for the pool since I’m not sure I’d be willing to let it touch the sand.
I’ve seen lots of colorful floral bags, but if you really want to make a style statement, feathers are a funky twist that hit the runways this year. This Tribu Longchamp bag, inspired by parrots in Australia, just makes me happy.
