I am not Chinese by heritage, but I still love baby gifts that reflects the Chinese zodiac. So with the Chinese New Year starting The Year of the Tiger, I’ve put together some of my favorite tiger-themed baby gifts, which are always a creative way to celebrate those new babies coming into the world in 2022.

Kick of The Year of the Tiger with this children's book

We at CMP have long been fans of Oliver Chin’s Chinese New Year-themed books, having featured his Year of the Ox and Year of the Rat tales, among others. The Year of the Tiger: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac tells the story of a friendship between man and beast—well, a little girl named Su and Teddy the baby tiger. The story is sweet (although a little advanced for younger kids) and the illustrations vibrant, making this is a Year of the Tiger baby gift that kids can enjoy as they get older.
This Year of the Tiger card from China Sprout make a great new baby keepsake
Finally, I love the harmless little “who me?” cub on the Year of the Tiger card at China Sprout. It includes information about a baby born under this Chinese zodiac sign, making it a a lovely keepsake for a baby book. Grab a bunch and give it to every little tiger born this year.
