Cupcake kits that turn ho-hum cupcakes into a party

The UK’s Meri Meri has put together these smart Cupcake Kits and my party-throwing life just got a little easier. With 24 colorful cupcake wrappers and assorted toppers, the designs are way cuter than the plastic licensed character stuff I see everywhere.

Trick or Treat Cupcake KitI think every party theme I’ve ever used for my three kids is reflected in the dozens of styles available. Along with the super-cute Space Cadets kit shown above, check out the cat lovers’ Meow cupcake kit, and the thank-goodness-I-have-girls Fairy Magic cupcake kit whose fairies have real fabric skirts.

While these paper designs may not make it past a single party, at least they won’t take a gazillion years to decompose in a landfill either.

It almost makes me want to cram a Halloween-themed party into our overcrowded schedule this month. Scary. -Christina

I actually found kits that were very similar and half the price at my local Homegoods. I also found a little chef’s apron and hat, mini rolling pin, pink silicone smiley face spatulas, girlie sprinkles, and a cute package that contained Happy Birthday Cupcake Mix. I put it all together in a basket for my niece’s birthday. She absolutely loved it!

Of course this gave me the idea to search for cookie making items for my sons. All kids love to help Mom bake cookies! In my search, I found Star Wars aprons and Cookie Cutters at Williams Sonoma, and Five Below has Star War’s lunch boxes. Put it all together for a cool and different gift! Worth checking out!!
