Friday July 11th is National Mojito Day, which, if you ask me, is as good an excuse as any to whip up a batch and raise a glass to the classic Cuban cocktail. Traditional mojitos are excellent – you really can’t go wrong with white rum, sugar, lime, mint and club soda – but a celebration in July calls for summer flavors like those found in these five absolutely irresistible summer mojito recipes. Grab your favorite summer fruit and get drinking. I’ll be right behind you.

The Peach Mojito recipe  from Katie’s Cucina is perfect for right now thanks to peak season peaches. (And you know how I love using fruit in season.) These look gorgeous, and fresh, juicy peaches and mint are a heavenly combination.

Blueberries are also in season right now and this Blueberry Mojito recipe at The Novice Chef makes gorgeous use of the fruit. It’s almost too beautiful to drink, but who am I kidding? If you give this a try, I suggest you prep two pitchers’ worth. This colorful cocktail will go fast.

If you want something sweeter, try an indulgent Strawberry Mojito from Iowa Girl Eats. This recipe is a great way to use overripe strawberries. Don’t toss them! Just mash them up and let their super sweet flavor balance the lime and rum. Yum.

No fruit says summer quite like watermelon. This Watermelon Mojito recipe from Call Me PMc looks like the perfect summer refresher. These just might be on tap at my house through August, should you be visiting.

These delightful Moscato Mojitos from Bell’alimento work any time of year, but seems especially light and delicious for summer. Since they don’t have rum—just Moscato wine—they make a great before-dinner sip. You can also add a splash of rum for a deliciously boozy version.
