On this week’s Spawned parenting podcast, we’re bringing back a vintage episode with one of our very favorite guests on a very serious subject. Lifesaving, even. Because even though we made it through the pandemic, what are we supposed to do about unprincipled leprechauns, accidental time travel, and flying tigers?

Fortunately, our guest James Breakwell, AKA Exploding Unicorn and author of the brand new book How to Save Your Child from Ostrich Attacks, Accidental Time Travel, and Anything Else that Might Happen on an Average Tuesday, is here to help.

Take a listen right now here, or on your favorite podcast app.

You can also listen to our other interviews with James about his first books, which will help you survive the zombie apocalypse, and teach you the joys of bare minimum parenting.

Our Cool Picks of the Week

Mandalorian and Baby Yoda: Totally worth the Disney Plus service alone Disney Plus

James: He’s in love with The Mandalorian (get yourself that free Disney + trial if you haven’t seen it yet) and all the Baby Yoda memes that have flooded the internet. You did watch Season 2 of The Mandalorian, right?

Kristen: Meet Cute is a new scripted, rom-com podcast that she’s loving, featuring different stories every week. She highly recommends it, and has actually written several episodes, including this one called Graceland.

Liz:  Speaking of facts and science, please check out the Union of Concerned Scientists, a proactive group doing impactful work to battle misinformation, fake news, and science denial that leads to climate disaster and other world problems. They’re even one of the orgs we recommended supporting in our post about helping the victims of the Australian wildfires.
