I love the look of tortoise shell which can be funky and modern, or classic and traditional, making it a smart choice for any mom. This one comes in two widths, but I happen to think chunky is more fun. ($85)
Asymmetrical custom letter necklace
Recently we featured really lovely and affordable custom number necklaces from Julian & Co. If you like the look but prefer a letter–and want it in 14k yellow gold, white gold, or rose gold–Maya Brenner makes this really posh version. ($240)
Custom Monogram Pendant
This 1″ round pendant in your choice of colors looks so with either script or block initials, dangling from a gold chain. It’s a great update of a traditional piece–and for a new mom, could be neat to get engraved with a baby’s monogram, then hand it down to her in later years.
