The new Ruth Bader Ginsburg doll, coming soon from Sophie & Lili

I just received a news alert that our strong, feisty, beloved SCOTUS Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, fell and fractured three ribs last night. It’s happened before (she evidently “did not skip a beat” during that time, according to the court because, RBG), and I know she’s tough as nails, but we’re still all rooting for a speedy and painless recovery.

I know it would make me feel better to cuddle my very own Ruth Bader Ginsburg handmade doll in bed tonight.

You too? Well, you’ll have to wait a few more days — Jennifer Vallez, the wonderful illustrator, women’s champion, and maker behind Sophie & Lilli is working furiously to get the new RBG doll in her shop, after having shared it on Instagram just this week.

It should be ready in time for the holidays, to go with her new RBG inspired gift wrap.

And while a Happy Hanukkah card might be more apt here, the former ACLU-lawyer-turned-SCOTUS-icon would probably be tickled to see it accompanying Christmas, Hanukkah, or Zoroastrian gifts for that matter.

In the meanwhile, I’ll be wearing my dissent collar pin as a token of love and light for this gem of an American icon.

Speedy recovery, Justice Ginsburg!

UPDATE: There are a limited number avail for preorder on her shop right now, but keep checking back. Also, a portion will be donated to the ACLU. Perfect.

    Dearest Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,
All my wishes and prayers will forever be with you, you the truest asset the Supreme Court has ever had, and so happy to see you beat all the afflictions you have endured. We truly as a veteran and American citizen need you to continue as you have for all these years and hopefully will support you in any way a poor Vietnam vet support you. Continue to be well and also continue to keep us safe.
