If you ask me, there’s nothing as cheerful as shopping for Valentine’s Day gifts for babies. Necessary? No! Adorable? So much yes. And as a mom of little ones who really needs an excuse for some cheer and celebration — especially with no date night in sight — I’ve had a great time rounding these up with my own year-old daughter in mind.

Yeah it may seem a little more frivolous than finding Valentine’s gifts for kids who are a bit older.  But I think we’re craving the celebrations that help create normalcy during very abnormal times, and help us to have something to look forward to.

(Hint hint, to grandmothers, aunts and godparents!)

So hit your local drugstore, make your own keepsake card, or browse these special Valentine’s Day gifts for babies that I found. I think they’d be lovely for younger babies, toddlers or even expecting moms — as long as you get her something just for her, too.

Ideally something in the carb family.

Valentine's Day gifts for babies: Heart-shaped silicone bowl | Chicco

Take it from a mom with small children, practical gifts are VERY much appreciated. Especially if they’re as sweet as this heart-shaped silicone bowl by Chicco with the all-important suction base that makes clean-up for mom so much easier. It’s really a gift for her too.

Note that Chicco is currently the sponsor of our 2021 Best Baby Gifts Guide but we just happened to like this cute bowl.

Valentine's Day gifts for babies: Organic cotton heart print | The Tot

You can never own too many swaddles; we use ours as breastfeeding covers, spit-up towels, and impromptu shade for hot days. This heart print baby swaddle from The Tot looks especially luxurious in a soft, organic cotton. And hey, maybe if the baby gets a little extra sleep in that swaddle, you might have a more traditional Valentine’s Day after all. But probably not.
