Ellie Potvin headband for girlsI’m eagerly awaiting the day that we can trade our winter hats for springy headbands, but one look outside my Brooklyn window and uh, yeah. Not gonna happen so soon. But when it does, I’ll be prepared with the new Ellie headband from CMP fave Bella Tunno.

The design was created to help support a little girl named Ellie Potvin, who’s all of eight and battling Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer with a tough prognosis. Because I’ve got a relative dealing with a young daughter in and out of
the hospital to treat some pretty awful stuff, this one hits very close
to home for me. I can imagine how much help Ellie’s family needs right now, both emotionally and financially. Which is why I love that 100% of the proceeds go to the Lift Up Ellie Fund to help with her treatments and her family’s needs.

The reversible headband has a wild pink camo on on side which represents Ellie, and a more conservative bright striped pattern on the other in honor of her twin sister Grace, who you see in the photo here. So whichever side suits your own daughter best, she can wear it knowing it did some good for more than her hair. –Liz
