Even if the song can drive me a little nuts, I’ve always loved It’s a Small World. Disney artist Mary Blair created such iconic concept artwork for the attraction, it still makes my retro-modern heart go all a-flutter. And if I were having babies again today, I’d be all over the new It’s a Small World baby collection at Pottery Barn Kids that just launched today

Then there’s my favorite: a set of It’s a Small World baby blocks that are so perfectly giftable, we had to include them in our list of this year’s coolest first birthday gifts in our new Ultimate Birthday Gift Guide.Related: 17 of the coolest black and white baby gifts for sophisticated babes.
With characters changing so fast, I can hardly keep up with which ones are hot with tots right now. (Doc McStuffins? In or out?) So it’s kind of refreshing knowing there’s one theme that’s endured literally through generations and our kids will grow up loving it too.
I only find it interesting that they stuck with a muted pastel blue palette instead of the vibrant colors that Blair was known for, but who knows. Maybe if this collection does well, more baby gift items will follow.
