We’ve talked a long time on Cool Mom Tech about the importance of raising responsible digital citizens. And one thing we know: However old your kids, it’s never too early — or too late — to learn a few new parenting tips to keep our kids safe in the digital world.

So we were thrilled that on this week’s Spawned Parenting Podcast, we get to chat with  Diana Graber, founder of CyberWise and the CyberCivics curriculum, and author of Raising Humans in a Digital World: Helping Kids Build a Healthy Relationship with Technology.

What’s particularly fascinating, is Diana’s 5 principles of being a responsible citizen, and how that translates to kids’ online worlds too. But we cover so many the tech questions that we know our readers and listeners ask about, to keep our kids healthy, safe and smart.

Even if they can’t all be a Marley Dias, they can do some good out there!

This is a fantastic conversation, full of helpful tips, and even some perspectives you might not have considered; like how to talk to your kids about cyberbullies, or how kids can engage with digital communities while making the fewest (hopefully!) mistakes.

You can also listen through your favorite podcast app — and please, if you’re a fan, take a few seconds and make sure you’re a Spawned Podcast subscriber so that you never miss an episode. If you have a few moments and can leave us a review too– well that would be extra amazing.
