Do dresses with dinosaurs on them exist? - CMP reader @homawoodrum
As popular as dinosaurs are with boys, dino dresses seem like an endangered species. Fortunately, they’re not quite extinct! We’ve tracked down some cute togs that will fill your dino-loving daughter with veloci-rapture.
I love the deliciously rich magenta and olive jersey dinosaur dress for girls at TeenyBunny on Etsy (above), featuring an appliqued Apatosaurus. It looks soft and comfy, with no buttons or zippers, and is available in sizes from 12M to 6.
We’re avowed Jusami fans, and we love that they make a DinoGirl Dress which is just as cool as their their DinoGirl Tee and ChopperGirl Tee. This dress has a slim-fit in super-soft baby rib cotton and is on sale now for $14.99 for sizes 2 to 8. Looks like American Apparel, so buy a size up for sure. (They also make great beach cover-ups.)
This Rawr Dinosaur Tank Top Dress from My Baby Rocks is available from size 3M to 4T, although they say it runs a little small. Those ruffles coupled with the cartoon stegosaurus definitely put it more on the cutesie side–pair it with jeans or black leggings and big black boots for a more ferocious look.
Okay, so it’s not a dress. But how can we resist a pink onesie with a robot riding a triceratops? Add a fluffy little tutu (if that’s your thing), and you’re golden. This design is available on a blue or pink onesie in baby sizes from Happy Family on Etsy. Older dino girls will deeply dig the purple raglan dinosaur shirt in sizes 2T-6T.
And you know? There’s always the “boys” shirts.
