Now, this is Pop Chart Lab’s list of 100 “essential” novels. In other words, the books you should have/could have read but probably haven’t yet. (I’m with you, there.)
I appreciate their list of diverse authors, from Zadie Smith and Harper Lee to Vladimir Nabokov and Jeffrey Eugenides, as well as classics from Don Quixote to more recent books like Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. That said, I’d love to see a second edition with more pop-culture must-reads after I finish these more serious titles.
Although, I’d be okay if they worked on that second edition for a good long while. It’s likely to take me until 2020 to finish all of these.

How far along are you on the poster? I am a avid reader and am going fast through the books but the ones that are smaller. I haven’t tired the ones that are 500 pages yet.
