Last year I browsed Oprah’s Favorite Things List of holiday gifts so thoroughly that I thought — whoa, what if I share my favorites from her favorites? So I did. And you liked them! So much so, it was hard to even get your hands on some of them. Like those headlight beanies? And the handmade rag dolls. They had a darn good year last year.

(Okay so I credit Oprah for that — partially.)

Cut to 2022 and hey, let’s do it again! While they’re all sold on Amazon, they hail entirely from small businesses that happen to sell their gifts through their Amazon storefront. Even better — they’re almost entirely woman-owned or BIPOC-owned. Often both.

Happy shopping!

10 of my favorite things for the holidays from Oprah's favorite things list | 2022

1. Truff Black Truffle Starter Set
I first discovered this brand from from Amazon’s Black-owned business list back in 2022, and it’s now become a favorite gift — for my family and for myself. That black truffle hot sauce is delicious on everything (steak is my favorite); the truffle salt is fabulous on lobster or corn on the cob; and Truff black truffle oil is amazing to drizzle over white pizza — or pretty much anything savory. I cannot recommend this brand enough, which is why they’re #1 on my list. ($59.99 on sale, plus use a 10% limited time coupon)

2. Theragun Mini Massager
I own the original and it is nothing short of spectacular — there’s a reason the pros use it. I even included it in my list of cool but practical tech gifts last year. This mini is a great alternative for you to bring on the go — and to save quite a bit from the pricier original. ($179-199 on sale)

3. Warmies Lavender-Scented Stuffed Animals
Pop one of these adorable stuffed friends in the microwave and you’ve got a warm, soothing buddy scented like French lavender. Perfect for anxiety, tummy aches, or kids who need a wee bit of help getting to sleep at night. ($24.99)

4. Pepper Creek Farms Gourmet Hot Chocolate Trio
A thoughtful hostess gift that’s sure to be devoured — or make it a gift for a mother-in-law or teen who’s hard to shop for. In my home, the Salted Caramel would go first. ($40)

5. Plantogram Live Olive Tree
I am so taken with this holiday gift idea — if extending an olive brand is a symbol of peace, then a whole tree you can plant indoors or out?  That’s the spirit of the season. ($86 on sale)

6. iLola Tea Set
Add one of the tea discs into the double-walled, insulated traveler mug and infuser , then get ready to enjoy two different kinds of tea blends.
($77.60 on sale)

7. Best Foot Forward Foot Care Set
From Santa Barbara Design Studio, it might be a stretch to call this a reflexology gift kit, but it is a lovely care kit including an exfoliating pumice and bristle brush, plus one of those foot rollers that is a totally underrated, affordable, low-tech gift that everyone loves. ($27 on sale)

8. Brightline The Artist Capsule Cold-Pressed Artisanal Olive Oil Set
There is no one in my life who wouldn’t love this as a gift — I mean can you ever have too many good olive oils? No. Especially when they’re infused with Garlic, Lemon, Basil, or Chili Peppers. Also, olive oil is a fabulous Hanukkah gift idea, hint hint. ($150/4)

9. The Motli Light USB Flameless Lighter and Flashlight
I have one of those long-handled lighters which is fine and all, but this one is so pretty I want to leave it out on the coffee table next to the candles. Especially that rose gold lighter! They’re all safer than traditional lighters too, plus you get 1000 lights per charge, and no burnt fingertips. ($45)

10. Solo Stove Personal Pizza Oven
Oh lordy, is this on my wish list! Lisa has raved about her pizza oven but this looks like a phenomenal option too — works with gas or wood for crispy, amazing, homemade pizza on demand. Now all I need is a patio. Sniff.  ($699 with gas burner, $499 without — use the 5% off coupon!)
