I’m continually amazed at the advances in baby gear since I had my youngest three years ago. And this Zipit playsuit for babies are a perfect example of the genius I totally missed out on. Not only do I love the bold colors, I’m digging how the ankle to chest zipper makes it a cinch to change a diaper. If you’re like I was, with a very active baby and early walker, you know how annoying even simple snaps can be. Don’t even start on buttons. Just a quick zip with this playsuit though, and you’re done. Even better, there’s a...Read More

Yup, we believe in fairies. Because we have a hardcore Peter Pan fan in the house. I can’t tell you how many times I have needed to tell my daughter that I needed a break from pretending to be Peter (she then suggests I be Captain Hook instead). When I found this Peter Pan themed print by Australia’s Seal Design Studio while looking for art for her new big girl room, I realized how surprisingly well Neverland could fit into the decor. I find this modern take on a retro movie poster completely charming. It captures the sweet wonder of the...Read More
Sexy maternity lingerie when you’re pregnant or nursing? I’m on board! When I was pregnant and nursing, I always felt a little bummed about Valentine’s Day; it was hard for me to feel really attractive when I ballooned up to the size of a Smart Car or was leaking breast milk. So I’m super excited for my new-mama friends who get to buy from lingerie designers who are making women feel sexy in beautiful, sweet and even a little racy maternity lingerie like the ones here. The maternity bra-and-panty sets from You! Lingerie (at top) are super hot — and affordable....Read More

If you’ve ever tried to refinish old picture frames you know the look is so gorgeous. As for me, I am such a fan of the distressed frames from O’Brien Schridde, whose frames I now own quite a few of, and more recently, the stunning array of refinished frames above from The Art of Chic on Etsy. That said, my inclination is generally to buy great frames from artists like these, since I don’t always have the time to do major DIY projects. But if you want to refinish old picture frames yourself, here are a few resources to help you...Read More

Mmmm, cashmere. I mostly appreciate this indulgent glorious material from afar, because my lifestyle can’t really support a cashmere habit (although I might make an exception for these Ivory Row cashmere sweaters.) Wow, are we are happy to add this totally original shop to our recent cool jewelry finds. These statement pieces are guaranteed to garner compliments from everyone at the dinner party. DIY snowflake patterns have such a place in my heart. When my grandfather would come visit from New Mexico when I was a kid, the first thing he’d do after he pulled his big RV into the driveway was grab a gin and tonic and some copy paper, then sit down with us to cut out paper snowflakes. But they’ve come a long way since then, so I’m so glad to have found these amazing tutorials that show how truly creative you can get with paper and some scissors. But maybe hold the gin. (For the kids, at least.)...Read More
