We are so excited to present our annual Mother’s Day gift guide, with our favorite ideas for all kinds of Mother’s Day gifts, for all kinds of moms. (Hey, moms are some of our favorite people to shop for! We also happen to be moms. Coincidence?)
We’ll be rolling out a new category every day or so, starting with the coolest keepsake jewelry for moms. Because hey, it’s always a good day to look at jewelry.
We know that personalized jewelry or those baubles with some meaning can be among the most treasured in a mom’s jewelry box, no matter the cost. So we’ve put together a selection of some of our very favorites, in every price range, that we think the special moms, grandmas, and other motherish figures in your life will adore, save, and ideally pass down.
And keep in mind, so many of our picks are created and sold by moms themselves. So that’s a whole lot of mothers you’ll be making happy on May 10!
Our picks are all editorially chosen by our staff; there are no sponsored recommendations, just the stuff we love. CMP is an rstyle and amazon affiliate.
Other Mother’s Day Gift Guide categories:
Custom silver cuff engraved with your handwriting ($65, Emily J Design)
It’s one thing to customize a piece of keepsake jewelry with your own message, another to be able to do it in your own handwriting. Don’t worry, you don’t have to do the metalwork too — leave that to LA artist Emily who can even customize something for you if you have a very specific idea in mind.
Keepsake silhouette charm pendant ($168, Le Papier Studio)
Artist Vanna Chupp of Le Papier is one of our go-to sources for the most thoughtful silhouette gifts and jewelry, and we are totally blown away by her newest offering, this silhouette charm pendant in silver or gold (also shown at top). It’s so subtle, it almost looks like a crescent moon at first but on closer inspection you realize you’re looking at the face of your favorite child or grandchild. Aw.
Keepsake photo lockets ($149-449, With You Lockets; add $25 for photo customization)
This new, mom-run company was one of our favorite finds this past holiday. Their stunning keepsake lockets are just exquisite in person, with the sweet sentiment, With You, engraved subtly on the back to remind your favorite mom that she’s always in your heart. The selection has something to suit any style from modern to traditional — and at prices that we think could be way higher. Shhh… (Shown here: the Michael Necklace)

Custom jewelry from a child’s artwork (Prices vary with keychains starting at $89, pendants starting at $139, Formia Design)
We are so thrilled to learn were the first site to feature Formia Design, and since then, we can’t believe how they’ve grown! Trained goldsmith Mia van Beek’s work is exquisite — she really manages to translate a child’s drawing, however scribbly, into a charm, a necklace, a lariat, a brooch and more. There’s even a funky leather cuff which is something you don’t see so much in the world of sentimental jewelry. Know that her turnaround time is really impressive at 5-7 days (more if you add precious stones), but order soon for sure! This isn’t one you want to miss out on.
Custom Acrylic Block Bracelet ($60, Charm & Chain)
We think this transparent block bracelet is just so cool, like something your cool Great Aunt would have had hidden in her jewelry box in the 60’s. Add a name or a birth date, and it’s a perfect keepsake gift for any mom. But especially a first-time mom or a new grandma. Sniff.
Mom heart pendant necklace ($52-62, Nordstrom)
At this price, this dainty little heart necklace in silver or 14k gold-dip makes the perfect gift “from the kids” or even “from the baby.” We love the inscription, and the fact that Dogeared handcrafts each one in the U.S.
Keepsake Carpe Diem Crystal Pendant ($355 and up, Monica Rich Kosann)
For a keepsake to be special for the wearer, it may not have to be personalized at all; just created with the very perfect message in mind. That’s why we love these stunning, conversation-stopper Carpe Diem pendants from Monica Rich Kosann. They come in two sizes, in either sterling silver or this outrageous 24k fine yellow gold. For a mom who deserves an extra little “you are awesome” this Mother’s Day.
Personalized grandma keepsake necklace ($185, Merci Maman Boutique plus $34 for additional acorns)
We have seen a loooot of personalized jewelry (seriously, I think we’ve seen it all) but new to us: like this adorable jewelry meant just for a special grandma. It’s connected with the saying “Mighty oaks from little acorns grow” and we think that’s a mighty compliment. Have each one engraved, then you can even add a new acorn for every little one who’s born. Just know it’s made in London — and ships from there too — so give it up to two weeks to arrive after . (Recorded and Express Delivery available as well.)
Personalized keepsake silver stacking ring ($39 each, Lisa Leonard)
There’s a reason we keep coming back to Lisa Leonard for special keepsake gifts, and so do our readers; you can just feel the love she puts into every handmade piece she creates. And yet the prices are wildly affordable. These slightly rough-hewn, organic rings will look beautiful in a stack of two or three too. Can’t play favorites with the kids, right?
