If there’s ever a seasonal style trend I can behind, it’s a specific color, especially this year’s lime green, mostly because it can be super easy and mostly affordable to add to your existing wardrobe.
I’m already a big fan of bright colors, so grabbing a few lime green pieces is really fun. But if you’re not, something like this is the perfect opportunity to change things up (which I know for me, can be a big mood lifter). And the cool part is that it can be something fairly subtle, like earrings, or bold, like a shirt. It’s totally up to you.
Here, 8 cool ways to wear lime green, plus a few style tips and tricks.

Let’s ease into this bold color with a few subtle ways you can wear it. These options are great if you’re not a huge fan of the color or if brights aren’t completely your thing.
Essie Expressie lime green nail polish
Oh, how I love Expressie! It’s the first-ever quick-try nail polish that actually lives up to its name. I own about 15 colors (not exaggerating) and it’s saved me a ton on manicures and pedicures. I will say, it can chip fairly quickly (depending on how much you’re using your hands) so definitely use a topcoat. But, since you own the color yourself, it’s not that much work to do a touch-up.
Alexis Bittar neon yellow huggie earrings
I will say that in searching for lime green, I’m getting a lot of neon yellow items that are coming up. These actually looked more green to me, so I’m just going with it. Liz introduced me to Alexis Bittar and I’ve been a fan ever since. If these are more on the splurge side for you, then check out this similar pair at Target for just $7.
Okay, if you’re feeling a little bolder, then here are a couple of tops I found that are super affordable as well. My general rule of thumb is that if I don’t think I’m necessarily going to wear something for longer than the season it’s popular in, I try to keep my spending to under $50. This way, I’ll get my wear out of it over the next six months, but won’t be breaking my clothes budget on something that won’t last me years.
Zara fluorescent lime basic knit top
I was pretty thrilled with this little top from Zara (and it’s under $30). I’m planning on pairing it with a pair of black cropped pants, but I could also see it with white jeans, a tan skirt… and definitely these braided sandals Liz found.
Oversized button-down boyfriend shirt
How fun is this oversized shirt? I ordered down (read the reviews) and it’s great. I’ll definitely be wearing this with jeans (think white, or for me, a lighter blue), or with shorts over a tank top. It’s on sale for $17.49. Total steal!

Finally, if you’re feeling like grabbing some investment pieces that you think you’ll wear beyond this season, my suggestion is to either purchase a piece with a more subtle hint of lime green, or something more classic that you’ll definitely wear over and over. That’s why I picked these next three items that are on the pricier side (but still under $100).
Nike Blazer low platform
I’m a big white sneaker fan, and well, these Nikes caught my eye. Yep, the Blazers are pretty popular now (the kids and well, cool moms, are wearing the high-top version), but to me, it’s a classic style I’ll wear a lot. And, it’s just got a tiny hint of lime green and a fun platform.
Seychelles Breath of Fresh Air puffy sandals
Ever since Liz did a round-up of awesome braided sandals, and then the one pair I wanted sold out, I’ve been trying to find an alternative. And well, I did. These are freaking adorable sandals, especially in the lime green color, that you’ll wear every spring or summer, no matter what color is in.
Vince Camuto small crossbody bag
I love Vince Camuto, so when I saw this crossbody bag, I had to grab it. I pretty much only wear small bags like this these days, but even if you’re a big bag carrier, these smaller purses are great for evenings out when you don’t need to carry more than a phone, card, and some lipstick. And I’m always one to wear a bright-colored bag with more neutral outfits, so I’ll definitely use this for many years.
Very cool sh*t
Gorgeous bag! Loving the like green color. It’s perfect for Spring-time!
Oops Lime* Green! 🙂 that’s autocorrect lol
I like this bag.
