We are big advocates of travel with tweens and teens as you know. And now that we have older kids of our own โ€” and have a new travel contributor focusing on teen travel โ€” we thought weโ€™d cover some great tips for parents who travel with older kids, on this weekโ€™s Spawned parenting podcast.

We cover tips to help save you money, ways to get your kids involved with planning so theyโ€™re more invested, scientific reasons that travel is important for kids, thoughts on splitting up on your trip (yes, the kids can be alone for a while) and why it can be a great idea, and why itโ€™s essential to build in down time โ€” just like you do with younger kids.

Whether youโ€™re flying around the globe, or staycationing (is that a verb?) right at home, we think this chat will help make every vaca a great one.

Weโ€™ll even talk about where not to go with kids (ahem, Atlantis, sorrynotsorry).

Itโ€™s such a fun chat, and will totally inspire you to sign up for airline price drop notifications!  Take a listen right now:

You can click play above and listen this very second, or click over to your favorite podcasting app. Plus, make sure youโ€™re subscribed to the Spawned podcast so you never miss an episode.

And hey, leave us a 5-star review if you enjoy the episode! It helps other listeners find us andโ€ฆit doesnโ€™t cost you a thing, and itโ€™s a really helpful way to support what we do.
